Mexican Riviera - November 2009

Jordan and I cruised the Norwegian Star beginning in LA to Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We were pleasantly surprised with our upgrade to a balcony room and wouldn't cruise any other way now. It was so nice to open the balcony door at night and hear the surf. We ate and ate adding the pounds on. Took a water taxi out to Lover's Beach at Cabo to snorkle. Then for buckets of beer and chips and salsa at the marina. Our excursion in Mazatlan was lots of fun - Salsa y Salsa - where we drank Tequila, margaritas, Agave juice, wore our chef hats to make 4 different kinds of salsa and guacamole and then topped it off with a salsa dancing lesson. Took a walk around Puerto Vallarta during the day (hot and humid!) and took the most magical excursion out to Las Caletas, a private hideaway in isolated Banderas Bay. They fed us dinner by candlelight with mariachis and then enjoyed an amazing outdoor amphitheater show of native dancers and performers. We were the only ones dancing on the cruise back to the ship! ;)
